Introducing the brand new
Lawrence Family!
Mommy and Daddy with their new twins!
Lila Danielle Lawrence
6 pounds 13.6 ounces, 18 1/2 inches
born at 3:45 a.m.

Brendan Walter Lawrence
6 pounds 14.2 ounces, 19 inches
born 3 minutes later at 3:48 p.m.

Meg will want to elaborate later but the short version of the story is that after working all night on the 11-7 shift at Apple Rehab Meg went to a doctor's appointment with Dr. Pickett. Her blood pressure was elevated so Dr. Pickett sent her over to the hospital for a NST where the on-call doctor, Dr. Robinson, made the decision to induce labor rather than send Meg home. They started the induction in the afternoon and the twins were born 12 hours later on Meg, Grandma and Auntie Leenie's birthday! Lila came out with one push and then the doctor tried to turn Brendan so he was facing head down. When that didn't work she delivered Brendan breech with one foot and then the other coming out followed by his head! Both babies are absolutely perfect and Meg adn the babies are resting comfortably.

Grandma and the twins!

KK has her hands full and she loves it!

Baby Lila - no longer Baby A!
Baby Brendan - no longer Baby B!
Kk loved being able to look at both twins at once.

The twins witness their very 1st sunrise on their birthday!

Dr. Robinson - many doctors would have insisted on a c-section when they realized Baby B was not head down. Dr. Robinson appreciated Meghan's wish to do anything to deliver without a c-section and did a beautiful job of getting both babies out safely!
