The babies are 6 weeks old and doing great! At their 1 month appointment they had gained lots of weight and were the picture of health. Brendan weighed in at a whopping 8 pounds, 14 ounces and Lila was 7 pounds, 13 ounces. When you see them together you can defintely tell that Brendan is a full pound bigger than Lila. Meghan and the babies have a nice morning ritual that if you are lucky enough to be invited over early in the morning you might get to witness. At around 6:30 a.m. Meg nurses both of the babies together and then lays them on her chest for a while to cuddle. Once they are content she gets everything ready for baths and dressing. They are starting to love tubby time and they smell delicious once they are done. In the last few days Meg and Tim have changed things up a bit and started doing tubbies and a bottle at night - they are trying hard to establish a routine with the babies that will let them know it is time for a nice long sleep. It seems to be working really well!
Annie was dancing in the rain but she was thrilled to strip down to her underwear and get out of her wet clothes to hold Brendan!
Uncle Bob was smart and knew enough not to get rid of the high chair that we had from our babies. We brought it upstairs the other night and Lila and Brendan took turns lounging in it - they both seemed very comfortable.

Meg and the babies came to Annie's 1st Irish class in Old Wethersfield. Lila makes the cutest witch ever!
Meg and I had just gotten back from a LONG day but she looked beautiful so I made her pose for some pictures with the babies! 6 weeks after giving birth to twins and she looks more gorgeous than ever!

Absolute perfection!
The babies have definitely found their groove. They are sweet, loveable babies who revel in being around Meghan and Tim. Lila looks for Tim whenever she hears his voice and Brendan is a definite Mama's boy! Meghan and Tim are amazingly gracious about letting everyone share in the joy of being around the babies - even late at night when they must be incredibly tired! What an amazing 6 weeks this has been!
