What we know so far!

Meg is not ready yet to start keeping records for the babies - let's face it - the ultrasound pictures all reside in a safe place in my house so she doesn't lose them. I, on the other hand, am obssessively keeping records to make sure that the babies know every detail about their life in utero. So Meg and I agreed that until she and Tim wrap their brains around the whole "We have been married for six month and are five months pregnant with twins" thing I will start keeping some information for the babies - belly pictures, ultrasounds and anything else that will allow them to know how loved and treasured they were before they even got here. Since this will be a kind of journal for the babies to know all of the prep work that went on before their arrival I also thought that it would be fun to have other guest boggers. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles, friends and anyone else who feels blessed to be a part of this big event. We already have some pretty proficient and prolific bloggers in the family (Auntie Beth, KK, Uncle Pete, Auntie Brigid, Auntie Kara and Tyler) so I suspect it won't be hard to get some volunteers. Send me an e-mail and let me know when you want to be a guest blogger and I will get you into the blog. I can help you scan old pictures, upload new pictures and do just about anything else. Remember that this blog is created for the babies in love so don't worry about spelling or grammer errors, bragging too much or being an old fuddy duddy - there is no judgement here - just shared happiness in our two little angels!

So this is what we know so far.
1. On December 18th Meg and Tim found out they were pregnant!

2. On Decmber 25th - they announced the big event to their families via adorable little onesies that said "Coming Soon - August 2010".

3. On New Year's Eve - Meg went for an ultrasound with Auntie Beth - I'm pretty sure she was assuming it was just a routine visit but .......................instead she found out it was twins!

4. Over the next few weeks we all held our breath as doctor's and nurses warned that maintaining a twin pregnancy was very difficult - but not for Meg - there were always two strong heartbeats on the screen and two happy parents breathing a sigh of relief.

5. Meg gets an ultrasound almost everytime she goes to the doctor as the doctors often have a hard time finding two distinct heartbeats.

6. On March 15, 2010 a routine ultrasound to find the heartbeats in the doctor's office revealed that the babies were a boy and a girl.

7. On March 22, 2010 a full anatomy scan confirmed this fact!

8. Meg hates the smell of coffee and craves mozzerella sticks and pasta right now.

9. Since the babies will likely be delivered at week 38 of pregnancy - we are just about at the half way point right now!

10. Baby B is a boy and has had a name since New Year's - Brendan Walter Lawrence. Baby A is a girl and still has no name! We are waiting!

The babies at 13 weeks! Perfect in every way! They were 2.2 inches!
