Auntie Beth came home for a few days to see the babies and I happened to have my camera on her last night. I got some really nice pictures of her loving on the twins!

Beautiful Babies

Tim brought the babies over with these cute litle monkey hats on! We couldn't resist a few pictures!

But then gave me her silly grin!

Lila loves to sit in the highchair and play with toys or have a snack but when she gets tired she just plops over and rests! It is the cutest thing!

Lila is getting the softest little tuft of hair on the top of her head and Meghan can't wait to put ribbons and clips in it.

Brendan - he just fell asleep on the couch and then slept for 3 hours! Such a great baby!

Brendan was wearing an orange bib and this auntie thought he was the cutest thing for some reason!

The babies are doing great - eating cereal, veggies, fruit, cheerios, yogurt melts, yogurt, puffs and pizza crust and drinking water from sippy cups. It is amazing that just 7 months ago we had still not met them! Both babies are good sleepers. Lila sleeps for 12 hours at night while Brendan does a solid 7-8 hours. They both take two or three naps a day and love to be in the exersaucer or rolling around on a blanket on the ground.

They are a joy!

February 2011

I can't believe how big the babies are getting already. Brendan is eating everything in sight - baby food, cheerios, biter biscuits, dried fruits, yogurt, potato skins, bananas and apples. If you have food you had better be prepared to share it with Brendan or you will hear about it. Lila is less interested in her food other than for purposes of nourishment. She will throw cheerios and puffs around on her highchair tray but has no real interest in eating them most of the time. Both of the babies love their cereal and veggies but fruit is their favorite. Right now Brendan and Lila both love squash, sweet potatoes, apples and pears.

Brendan is also just about sitting up on his own and when he is on his tummy he defintely sticks his little butt in the air and creeps a bit. Lila is content and happy just hanging out on the floor rolling over and playing with toys. She has not shown any desire to sit up or move around much - and why would she? We all hover over her waiting to hold her!

Meghan and the babies. Meg has so much fun with the twins and has already signed up for a playgroup at a local gym so she can spend some time doing something active with them. They are always going somewhere or doing something - like visiting one of their grandmas at work or having lunch with friends.

I love their smiles in this picture - and look at how they are holding hands! So sweet!

This was the first time that I really see a resemblance between the babies - they look like twins!

6 Month Check-Up

Brendan and Lila had their 1st ever SuperBowl and their 6 month check up (2-7-11) with the pediatrician this week. They did great with the exception of a little bit of crankiness because of their shots!

Lila weighed in at 15 pounds and 14 ounces

Brendan weighed in at a whopping 19 pounds!

Both babies are healthy, happy and doing great. They each got 3 shots and one oral vaccination so they were none too happy later that night but they were troopers!

This is Brendan getting his first taste of a potato skin from Papa! I don't think I have to tell anyone that he LOVED it! Notice that he is keeping one eye on the game the entire time!

Brendan is starting to love his cheerios. He still needs some help getting them in his mouth but once he gets them there he does a great job of chewing and swallowing. These are actually some dried apple treats for babies that I thought would be fun and exciting for him. I think it is the cutest thing ever to watch him chew so I am uploading some video of his cute little chomping - unfortunately, my kids would not stop talking so I am hoping that the visual is enough on this one! Enjoy!
