2 month visit

The babies had their 2 month visit with the pediatrician and they are growing like weeds! Meg and I took lots of great pictures of the babies but we aren't ready to upload them yet so for now you get some really cute ones from the other day!

 Brendan Walter weighed in at 11 pounds, 7 ounces and was 23 inches long

Lila Danielle weighed in at 10 pounds even and 22 3/4 inches long

 Lila and Brendan both smile all the time. Brendan still has his cranky moments but his good moments are the cutest ever! Lila is still a little angel - filled with smiles and coos. Both babies have found their voices and are starting to babble a bit - cutest thing you have ever heard!

The twins are still nursing every 2 or 3 hours and getting one bottle of formula at night. Meg and Tim have a ritual of giving the babies a nice warm tubby, putting powder on their bottoms, dressing them warmly, giving them a bottle and then swaddling them and putting them to sleep. The ritual usually starts at around 10 and this auntie thinks it is the best time of day. The babies are snuggly and warm and giving them a bottle is such a treat! As usual, Meg and Tim are great about sharing this time with everyone!

Meg is going back to work this week and is very nervous about being away from the twins! Tim has everything under control but this will be a hard transition for Meg since she has been away from the babies for an hour or two at the most! Meg and Tim will be celebrating their 1st Anniversary on October 17th! It is amazing that at this time last year we were all excited about their upcoming wedding - who could have known that not even a year later they would need a babysitter for their twins to go out on their anniversary? We are all so lucky!
